Yousef Bazian has over three decades of experience in corporate finance and business development, having worked on three continents – Europe, Middle East and Africa, while heading high-value, complex transactions and M&A’s as well as developing extensive network of priority clients.
In 2018 he founded Mena Square Advisory LLC, to build on the experience and global network built over 36 years of work experience. He currently serves as Charmain of Fintech International and Loita Transaction Services, the two Information Technology clusters of the Loita Group which he co-founded in 1992.
Yousef Bazian is a seasoned banker, educated at Yarmouk University where he graduated with a degree in Marketing and Finance. He began his career at Citibank, Jordan and transferred to the UK and to Africa to serve as a Resident Vice President in charge of the East African, Indian Ocean and Angolan region until 1992. He then moved to HSBC Equator as Vice President with regional responsibilities for East Africa and Angola until 1994. He served for three years as the Regional Manager at Cairo Amman Bank covering the Palestinian Territories and thereafter moved to set up and run the Corporate Finance division at Arthur Andersen in Saudi Arabia until 1999.
From 1999 to 2007, Yousef served as Executive Director at Loita Holdings Corporation Africa, Mauritius, where he was involved in providing debt and equity advisory services for large corporate and government entities in Africa. In 2008, Yousef joined Ernst and Young in the Middle East as direct entry partner, and moved in 2009 to set up and lead the PwC Corporate Finance Division in the Middle East, responsible for Transaction Advisory Services for Sovereign Wealth Funds and Private Equity and established the industry grouping of SWF and PE. He joined PwC’s ME board of Directors in 2011 where he served until his retirement from the Firm.
Afterwards, Mr. Bazian acted as Chief Executive Officer of the Aperture Group Management Company in Qatar, a multibillion dollar family corporate office. Mr. Bazian serves on the board of directors of Palestine Investment Bank in Ramallah, the Board of Bothar International, Australia, the several boards of the Loita Group and is a trustee on the board of trustees of The Galilee Foundation, a UK registered foundation focused on education.
